June 6, 2010, early morning, husband and I greeted each other with a warm hug and kiss, because today is our 8th year anniversary as boyfriend and girlfriend.
For other married couples, the date when they became officially steady might be forgotten or ignored already, but not for the two of us. This date means so much for the two of us.
Eight years of staying in love, eight years of happiness with of course times of trials that made us more stronger.
Kanina nung niyakap niya ako, sabi niya, "Happy 8 year anniversary Mahal, sana tayo na ang magkatuluyan". Then we both laughed.
Kasi every anniversary namin before, that is both our wish, na dumating yung time, that we can truly say, na kami na nga talaga.
There are couples who went steady for more than 3years, 5 years, 7 years, and even 10years, pero in the end, di din pala sila ang destined together as partner in life. That's why we are so thankful and grateful to God who's been with us for the 8 fruitful years of our life as partners. Lagi namin Siyang kasama sa aming relationship.
We give back to you our Dear Lord God, our Father, our Friend, our Adviser all the praises and glory!
Now, let me share some facts about the two of us:
When, where we exactly became boyfriend-girlfriend?
- That was June 6, 2002. We had our first out of town trip to Subic, Olongapo. We walked along the beach (Boardwalk). As I have told the full story in this blog, you can just read it to know the details.
Terms of endearment?
-At first he called me french fries and I called him ketchup. I wanted that time for him to call me angel and me to call him heaven (tabing ilog days), but later on he started calling me "Mahal", na until eto pa din tawagan namin. Now, that we are expecting our first baby, sometimes we call each other, Mommy and Daddy, lalo na kausap namin si baby, para masanay na siya.
Favorite Place to hang out?
-Siempre, panlasang Pilipino, at home sa Jollibee! (simple lang naman kami, masaya na kami sa french fries at ketchup, hahahaha)
First Gift?
-He gave me Hello Kitty Stuff toy and I gave him Bench Shirt with the CD of our Personal Favorite Love Songs. If you want to listen, here's the link.
Biggest trial? (pakihanda ang tissue...hehe)
-It seems the world is against the two of us. It's very dramatic. At first, we really need to fight our feelings, ipagsigawan sa buong mga nakapaligid sa amin, that we really love each other. Madalas namin marinig, na hindi kami bagay, na mas may mahahanap pa akong nararapat sa akin kaysa kay Joseph. Lagi nilang sinasabi, sayang ang tinapos ko, sayang ang pinag-aralan ko, kung sa tulad lang niya ako mapupunta. Lagi akong napapaiyak nung mga times na yun, but never I was affected by what they are saying. Hanggang nakikita kong mahal ako ni Joseph, wala siyang masamang ginagawa sa akin at sa kapwa tao. I dont mind the status, kung mayroon mang gap sa aming dalawa. Masyado lang mapanghusga ang mga tao, lagi ko sinasabi kay Joseph that time, hindi ka nila kilala, hindi nila alam kung sino ang tunay na Joseph, ang alam lang nila, kakaunti tungkol sa kanya, na ginamit nila upang husgahan siya. He graduated 2year Computer technician course, and after college, he worked as Factory worker, na ako naman, graduated Bs Accountancy and board passer with a good position sa aking first work. Yan, ang laging pinagdidiinan ng mga taong nakapaligid sa amin. So, he decided na magtuloy ulit ng pag-aaral at kumuha ng 4year course, para sa akin, para sa sarili niya at para mas may makuha siyang magandang trabaho. That is more than enough sa akin na mapatunayan niya how he want to prove himself. I didnt forced him to do that, siya ang nagdecide sa sarili niya. The issue between, continued until makatapos siya ng pag-aaral, habang kami, nag-aaral siya, at hanggang sa makatapos siya. That was the time naman, that I decided to work abroad. Kaya naiwan siya. But God is so good, we are both praying, na dumating time na magkasama kami, makapagstart na ng aming pamilya. He started applying for jobs abroad, and before the time na makatanggap siya ng tawag, our company just in time needed somebody and asked me to recommend kung sino pwede, kaya nakarating si Joseph dito.
Now, we have passed the trials, we have proven them that they are all wrong, its our 8th years of being together. Silang mga naninira sa amin, malamang natahimik na, we are happy and we just wish na happy na din sila sa kanilang mga buhay. Just fight for the feeling and for the love kung alam mong pure and sincere.
Happiest Moment
-Our Wedding Day of course, kasi meron na kaming bendition from God, from our parents, from our whole family and from our friends, and makapagstart na kami to have our family of our own na noon pa namin pangarap.

This sums up, what we've been through for the past 8years.
We know, we still have more years to be together. On our 9th year, we have our little baby celebrating with us already! This is our precious gift from heaven. Ang bunga ng aming pagmamahalan. Baby, we love you!
We have planned to celebrate it on Friday, kasi we both have work today. Atleast on friday we can celebrate it na mas mahaba. Hindi mabitin sa time.
